Operation: Tabang Sendong

To Our Fellow SHS-AAA Alumni and Alumnae:

With the recent tragedy that struck Northern Mindanao, our SHS-AdC School Administration is currently collaborating with Xavier University in CDO to extend assistance to the thousands of victims of this tragic calamity. Our School President, Fr. Manny Uy, SJ, has been coordinating with Fr. Eric Velandria, SJ, who is in charge of the relief operations in Xavier University CDO, in order to accept and distribute donations and relief goods to our dear brothers and sisters who have lost so much in the past days.

Therefore, our School, through our SHS-AAA, is appealing to all alumni and alumnae to donate whatever contributions you can give, whether in cash or in kind, to the ongoing relief efforts in CDO. Cash donations may be forwarded either directly to Xavier University or through our Alumni Office, while donations in kind may be delivered to our School's Canduman Campus where volunteers from the School and Alumni will facilitate in having these delivered to Xavier University's relief center in CDO.

The damage caused by this recent tragedy has been severe, and the darkness of despair has enveloped the hearts of so many of our fellowmen. But it is precisely during tragic times like these, when all hope seems lost, that we are called to Ignatian Heroism, to open our hearts and to shine our lights as Men and Women for Others. In this season when we celebrate our Lord's birth, may Christ fill our hearts with His Light, and may we be Lux Oriens, shining brightly through the dark yet holy night.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!

Sincerely,

Message from the Silver Jubiliarians

Greetings

In behalf of the 2011 Silver Jubilarians, the SHS-J Class of 1986, I would like to congratulate our Alumni Association for the grand launching of its corporate and social website.

As we embark into the 21st century, as we fondly refer to it as the Computer and Internet Age, our alumni website will be a great instrument and medium to disseminate news and information concerning our activities inside our Association in the World Wide Web. And with the proliferation of the social networking phenomenon, I believe our website will enhance the camaraderie and provide us pride amongst all alumni members to our beloved Alma Mater.1

Sincerely

Archt. Everet Paul Chua Rivera

Message from the Ruby Jubiliarians

On behalf of my beloved brothers in the Class of 1971, this year’s Ruby Jubilarians, allow meto convey our warm greetings and congratulations to the SHS Jesuit Alumni Association on the launching of the SHSJAA Brochure. This is a major step in the Association’s continuing efforts to reconnect and bring together our alumni and thereby foster awareness , if not active involvement in the Association’s various activities. As such, this is truly a laudable project deserving of all our support. We congratulate all those who have worked hard on this endeavor.

May the alumni of our beloved institution continue to remain steadfast in living up to its noble values and ideals, for God and for country.
